Help pick the new Park’s Superintendent

Apply to serve on the Minneapolis Parks superintendent search selection committee!

Applications will be accepted through Thursday, Sept. 20

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is seeking a small group of Minneapolis residents who can assist in the selection process for the new MPRB Superintendent. The selection committee will be made up of five people from a variety of backgrounds who can lend additional perspective that takes into account information gained in numerous community listening sessions held this summer, as well as operational fitness.

The selection committee will meet in late September. No formal education is required, however, experience with parks, human resources, management, administration, safety, recreation, budgeting, diversity/inclusion, and boards are helpful. Click the link below to view the application.

The work of this committee is highly confidential and all committee members need to sign a confidentiality/non-disclosure agreement in order to participate. This protects the privacy of candidates who do not make it to the final public round, as well as minimizes legal exposure for committee members and the MPRB. If circumstances change and a selected committee member cannot participate in committee activities, the MPRB and kpCompanies will choose another committee member from the pool of original applicants.
