The public is invited to the final Roberts Bird Sanctuary project meeting on Wed. Aug. 10,
7-8:30 pm. The meeting will be held at Lyndale Farmstead Park Recreation Center at 3900 Bryant Ave. S. MBRB staff will present all public input received to date, the preferred concept design which directly corresponds to community comment, and the proposed projects which outline funding sources and the project timeline Staff is very excited to present the designs to the community and believe they capture and support the goals of the MPRB, the Friends of Roberts Bird Sanctuary, Audubon Minnesota, and the Audubon Chapter of Minneapolis.
The project will be looking at the how the site can best support avian habitat, while providing education and low-impact access to park goers. It will result in a preferred concept to be approved by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board of Commissioners. The preferred concept will outline key improvements for construction in 2016. Visit the project page for more information about the Roberts Bird Sanctuary.
